(KU) – Klaipeda University – Instytut BadaÅ„ Morskich – zajmuje siÄ™ zarówno badaniami podstawowymi, jak i stosowanymi dotyczÄ…cymi Å›rodowiska morskiego i przybrzeżnego, a także technologiami morskimi. Głównym celem jednostki KU jest promowanie współpracy miÄ™dzy naukÄ…, edukacjÄ… i przemysÅ‚em. Współpraca ta opiera siÄ™ na zaawansowanej wiedzy naukowej i nowoczesnej infrastrukturze badawczej.
W ramach partnerstwa projektu LIFE for Dunes PL KU podjęło się odpowiedzialności za odtworzenie siedlisk wydmowych, zbadanie środków regulujących występowanie gatunków inwazyjnych oraz usunięcie gatunków obcych z wydm w miejscu badań położonym na Mierzei Kurońskiej. Członkowie naszego zespołu są również zaangażowani w działania edukacyjne i informacyjne, podnoszenie świadomości ekologicznej i edukację społeczności oraz wspólną pracę nad weryfikacją metodologii monitorowania siedlisk wydmowych.

Klaipeda University (KU) unit – Institute of Marine Research, engages in both fundamental and applied research concerning the marine and coastal environment, as well as maritime technologies. The primary objective of KU unit is to promote collaboration among science, education, and industry. This collaboration is built upon a foundation of advanced scientific expertise and the modern research infrastructure.
Within the scope of the LIFE project partnership, KU has taken on the responsibility for the restoration of dune habitats, exploration of measures for regulating invasive species, and removal of alien species from dunes in a case study site situated in the Curonian Spit. Our team members are also involved in the performance of educational and information activities, raising environmental awareness and educating the community, and joint work on the verification of the methodology of dune habitat monitoring.
